During our meetings, we discussed several important topics, including:
- RECO reform and theĀ necessity of ensuring bothĀ consumers and registrantsĀ are madeĀ wholeĀ Ā
- The needĀ forĀ a comprehensive review of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006,Ā to modernize the legislationĀ
- The encouragement ofĀ mediation services between landlords and tenants at the Landlord and Tenant BoardĀ
- Implementing an income tax credit for small landlords who bring previously unrented units toĀ theĀ marketĀ to incentivize new rental supplyĀ
We were encouraged by the support and discussionsĀ during our meetings and look forward to meeting withĀ additionalĀ MPPs over the next couple of weeks.Ā Ā
