The Audit, Finance & Risk Committee is accountable to the Board of Directors and assists the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities in the oversight of Cornerstone’s financial plans, policies, and practices, as well as overseeing all material aspects of financial reporting, internal controls, risks, the internal audit function, and the audit of the annual financial statements.

Cornerstone is inviting members to apply to join various committees for the 2026-2027 term. Additional committees or task forces beyond those listed in this form may be formed throughout the year, and this application form may also be used to recruit for those opportunities.
Committee meetings are held up to six times per year, typically lasting 1-2 hours, and are scheduled during business hours (8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) Monday through Friday. Some meetings may be held in-person and may require travel to one of the Cornerstone locations.
Volunteer assignments are based on availability within the committee, required skills, and in accordance with Cornerstone's Bylaws.

Cornerstone’s mission is to lead with purpose, advocate boldly and create positive change for the success of our members. As a committee member, you will play a key role in shaping the policies, services and experiences for all members.
Board Committees
The Governance & Bylaw Committeeis accountable to the Board of Directors. This committee reviews and provides guidance and recommendations to the Board on governance issues such as Governing Principles, Board Development, Board Structure, Bylaws, and the Board’s Governance Policy & Practices Manual.
The Nomination Committee is accountable to the Board of Directors and is responsible for supporting a fair, transparent, and effective nomination process. The committee encourages eligible members to apply to serve on the Board of Directors, reviews applications against Board-approved criteria, presents a slate of candidates for election to the Board directly to the membership, and makes recommendations to strengthen nomination policies, procedures, and future committee membership.
Operational Committees
The Innovation Committee is dedicated to supporting and advancing the operations of real estate listing systems and related technologies. Composed of Cornerstone and ITSO representatives, the committee provides guidance on innovations, addresses member needs, and ensures compliance with best practices and regulatory standards. Among its responsibilities, the committee recommends enhancements and resolves technology-related issues.
The Member Engagement Committee (MEC) fosters relationships between Cornerstone and its members by supporting initiatives that gather data to track, assess, and enhance member engagement. Activities of the MEC include serving as ambassadors for new programs and services, encouraging member participation in meetings and events, and conducting outreach to members.
The Government Relations Committee (GRC) provides strategic direction and support for Cornerstone’s advocacy initiatives, policies, and programs. The GRC advocates for policies that protect property rights, promote economic growth, foster sustainable development, improve housing attainability, and support quality of life initiatives.
The Professionalism Committee aims to elevate members' professionalism, regulatory knowledge, and competency. It assesses the current professional and political landscape, reviews key industry changes, and develops recommendations for improvement. Among its responsibilities, the committee focuses on addressing common issues and enhancing education and professional development.
The Commercial Committee provides a focused forum for commercial members to identify priorities, share expertise, and help shape Cornerstone’s services for commercial members. The committee’s initial work will include a commercial MLS® needs discovery process to gather member input, identify service and system opportunities, and recommend improvements that better support commercial real estate practitioners.
